About Uriri Constituency

Uriri Constituency is one of the 290 single member electoral constituencies in Kenya. Initially created in 1995 after being hived off then Migori Constituency, the Constituency was re-established under the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and later on operationalized by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Act, 2011. It comprises five electoral wards.
Uriri Constituency is one of the eight single member constituencies in Migori County, in the South Western part of Kenya. The constituency stretches from the Central to the South East part of Migori County. It borders Kilgoris Constituency to the East, Awendo Constituency to the North East, Ndhiwa Constituency to the North, Nyatike Constituency to the West and Suna East Constituency to the South. The Constituency covers a total area of 380.70 sq. km.

Administration
Uriri Constituency is made up of one Sub-County; Uriri, which is further divided into two (2) administrative divisions namely; Uriri and Oyani. These units are further subdivided into seven (7) locations and nineteen (19) sub locations.
